Nadia B. Al-Hajji

Nadia is a chemical engineer with 25 years experience in the downstream industry.

Nadia started her career as a Process engineer at  KNPC Mina Abdulla Refinery (MAB) in 1992, where she grew to the position of Chief Process Engineer. She was the  Team Leader in charge of the process design & environmental aspects of two mega oil sector projects in Kuwait: the new refinery at Al-Zour and the Clean Fuels project – the project targeting upgrade of the existing KNPC refineries, in addition to Onshore Processing Facilities project for an offshore gas field.  She has also occupied the post of Technical Services Manager of both Shuaiba refinery and Mina Abdulla Refinery.  During her career, she has made considerable contributions to KNPC and to KNPC’s mega  projects and is played a lead role in the refinery readiness for the Clean Fuels Project. She also headed the catalyst committee for KNPC refineries, besides many new initiatives to improve refinery performance to meet the long term goals.

Nadia currently heads the Optimisation & Planning department for Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company KIPIC overseeing the new grassroots refinery at Al-Zour and associated  petrochemicals  facilities, as well as LNG import facilities.
