SP3H has developed a miniaturized (10cm) and low-cost optical sensor to “profile” the fuel quality. The analyzer is suitable for the prediction fuel properties as octane or cetane. The analysis is directly done in-line the refinery process and in real-time.
SP3H cost-effective solution reduces drastically CAPEX / OPEX for online instruments (between 5 to 10 times less expensive than standard NIR analyzer). Compared to current systems, SP3H technology offers key advantages: no fouling issue, low maintenance, very easy to implement, NO cleaning procedure, NO need of reference fluid.
With its smart embedded electronics for sensor control, the analyzer will directly provide the fuel quality information every minute to the APC and MPC. The analyzer is ATEX / IECEX certified (explosion proof).
Application examples: Determination of fuel properties such as MON/RON, cloud point, distillation curve, PIAO after CDU, FCC, HCK, CRU, Isomerization, Alkylation units … For white and yellow products (basically gasoline, kerosene, diesel, heating oil and intermediate basestocks).
